Unwind, recharge, and reconnect with your passion for veterinary medicine at VetPD’s all-inclusive Lake District Retreat. This three-night boutique event combines 12 hours of first-class in-person continuing education (CE) with hand-picked speakers Drs. Anusha Balakrishnan DACVECC (Vet Emergency Group, USA), Sam Mauchlen PGCertVetEd (IMV Imaging, UK) and Laura Woodward DipCouns & DipPsych (LW Counselling, IRE), including lectures, interactive discussions and practical ultrasonography on live dogs, with 6 hours of online learning (all RACE-approved). There will be plenty of opportunity for restoration, wellness, watersports, heritage & nature in one of the UK’s most iconic landscapes.
Set on the shores of Lake Windermere at the luxurious Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa, delegates will enjoy a carefully curated program blending abdominal ultrasound, emergency & critical care, mindfulness and veterinary mental wellbeing. Sessions are designed to be practical, interactive, and inspiring – providing knowledge and skills you can take straight back into practice.
Outside the lecture room, you will have ample free time to explore the spectacular fells and lakes, indulge in the resort’s spa facilities, explore the iconic local heritage or simply relax with colleagues. This event offers the perfect mix of professional development and personal rejuvenation.

The event fee includes accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, CE sessions, daily mindfulness classes, extensive digital course notes and car parking. Access to the fitness facilities and main indoor swimming pool are included. A limited number of places are available – early registration is strongly recommended.
