CONTENT DESCRIPTION
WEBINAR CONTENT
Ana Boado reviews the most common orthopaedic injuries and diseases encountered in competitive dressage and show jumping horses in both first opinion and referral practice. Special attention is given to cases with multifocal and multilimb lameness. The use of various diagnostic technique and imaging modalities will be discussed, and advanced therapeutic options presented. Dr. Boado will furthermore describe how she integrates lesion monitoring into the rehabilitation program. The opportunity to post questions before or during the case discussions and the electronic voting system combine to enhance the focus on these fundamental topics of equine practice.
Ana qualified from the University of Madrid (Complutense), Spain in 2001 and went on to perform an internship at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. After spending some time in ambulatory equine practice, she did a residency in Equine Orthopaedics at the University of Edinburgh. She became certificate in Equine Orthopaedics in 2008 and a Diplomate of the American (2016) and European (2019) College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
