César qualified as a veterinary surgeon from ICBAS University, Porto (Portugal) in 2012. He moved to the UK in 2013 where he completed a rotating internship at Cambridge University in 2014 and then an orthopaedic internship with us at Anderson Abercromby Referrals in 2016. César then went on to complete a three year residency at the University of Cambridge by the ECVS. The time spent during his internship with Anderson Abercromby in 2016 whilst working with our renowned surgeons, Angus Anderson and Ralph Abercromby inspired César to one day return and to fulfil his dream of working in orthopaedic referral centre. The biggest achievement for César was becoming a Diplomat in small animal surgery by the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS). César has contributed papers in various journals and also enjoys lecturing at events and scientific meetings. He enjoys the reward in helping patients return home, having repaired their orthopaedic ailments.
