After a few years in farm and equine practice, David spent over 20 years specialising in equine clinical and laboratory medicine, predominantly in private referral practice in the UK. He is a Past President of the British Equine Veterinary Association and former chair of their health and medicines committee. David now works as an internal medicine and therapeutics consultant with most of his time being spent on research and development projects related to equine medicine. He speaks regularly internationally on a range of topics but is best known for research in equine gastroenterology, endocrinology and laminitis.
