Dennis Woerde
BVSc (Hons1), Dipl.ACVIM (SAIM)
American Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Medipaws, Australia
Dennis graduated from the University of Sydney with first-class honours. After some time in mixed practice and general practice, Dennis undertook a small animal medicine internship at The Animal Referral Hospital, Homebush.
He then completed a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of California, Davis. After becoming board-certified (specialised) in small animal internal medicine, he continued at UC Davis for a two-year fellowship in nephrology, interventional endourology and extracorporeal therapies.
Dennis is now excited to be back at home and helping the pets of Sydney. Dennis enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, however, he has a particular interest in all things kidney and urinary related. He also has a keen interest in clinically relevant research and has published in several veterinary journals. Dennis hopes to continue research alongside clinical work to help further benefit veterinary patients.
When not at work, Dennis can be found at the beach, exploring nature, reading, and savouring the Sydney coffee scene after 5 years of terrible coffee in America.
