Kirstie graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1996 and undertook an equine residency and PhD at the University of Edinburgh. She is an RCVS and European Diplomate in Equine Internal Medicine and has worked in academia and equine practice in the UK, NZ and the USA. She now works at Harper & Keele Veterinary School as a Veterinary Professional Preceptor and EDI Lead. Kirstie's research interests are trigeminal mediated headshaking and equality, diversity and inclusion in the veterinary professions.
