Malcolm qualified from the University of Bristol in 1993. He joined the Liphook Equine Hospital in Hampshire for 2 years before spending 12 months in Australia and then 6 months in Lambourn. He rejoined the Liphook Equine Hospital in 1996 and worked there until 2003 when he became a partner at Stable Close Equine Practice. Malcolm is a council member of the British Equine Veterinary Association and chairs their Pre-Purchase Examination Committee.
