Animals have always been the defining feature of Robin's life and work. As a professor of animal learning and behavior, she teaches courses in equine behavior and welfare at Virginia Tech and at the University of Guelph. Her research is on equine learning and behavior, and she serves as a graduate student research advisor. Her work also involves consulting on behavior cases, with pertinent certifications as an Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) through the Animal Behavior Society, an Equine Behavior Consultant (CEBC) through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and as a Fear Free Professional.
