Sarah is the Principal Clinical Oncologist at the Queens Veterinary School Hospital, University of Cambridge. Prior to taking up this role in 2015, she worked as a lecturer in veterinary oncology at the University of Liverpool.
She obtained the ECVIM diploma in medical oncology in 2014, and is a European and RCVS recognized specialist in veterinary oncology. She registered as the first ECVIM trainee in radiation oncology in 2016, and plans to sit the ECVIM radiation oncology diploma examination in 2019. Sarah also holds the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine and the Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.
Prior to training as a veterinarian Sarah completed a BSc in molecular biology and a PhD in cancer biology at the University of Glasgow and subsequently worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School. She has a clinical research interest in the optimization of chemotherapy protocols in canine and feline patients, and the role of chemoradiation in the treatment of small animal neoplasia.
