Dr. Scott Hay, a 1988 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, has been with the thoroughbred racetrack practice Teigland, Franklin and Brokken for his entire veterinary career. Growing up in Kansas, Dr. Hay spent much of his youth working for his father, also a veterinarian. He is currently the president and managing partner of TFB. Dr. Hay’s clinical focus is on lameness, performance evaluations and purchase examinations. When not in South Florida attending to racehorses, Dr. Hay travels to many thoroughbred sales consulting with clients on potential purchases. Dr. Hay is a former President of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and has been active in many committees during his membership in the AAEP. He also serves on the Racing Medication Testing Consortium’s Scientific Advisory Committee and is a former member of the Grayson Jockey Club Scientific Advisory Committee.
